Learn to Sail - Sailtime Channel Islands Sailing School

Outstanding Sailing School 2007, 2008, 2009

Come learn how to sail at the premier sailing club in Ventura County, Southern California. SailTime provides a sailing experience that is second to none. If you are new to sailing we have instructors who know how to take you from landlubber to Captain with private lessons on new yachts. But maybe you are a seasoned sailor. We can help old salts like you get certified affordably. In between, are all of you who sailed some time in the past and have longed to get back into the sailing life. Each year we help all levels of sailors achieve new sailing skills and competent seamanship. Now, make it your season to go sailing the SailTime way!

SailTime is a sailing club with member boats, crewed and bareboat charters, all supported by our award winning ASA sailing school. Make plans to come on down to the docks and see our pristine yachts, the oldest of which is a 2005. They are fully loaded with the latest sailing technology and are always clean, shiny and smell fresh every time you get on them. We guarantee it! Our club provides a bridge to the sailing life without having to own a boat and the associated costs and hassles that go along with it. But many sailors use us as a stepping stone to boat ownership as well, taking lessons and outings that help them gain the confidence and more importantly the knowledge to make an educated buying decision.

Sailing is never out of season here at Channel Islands Harbor in Ventura County. The sea life here is nothing short of amazing, highlighted by the winter time annual migration of the gray whales. What's more, the Channel Islands are relatively close off shore here with Anacapa providing the perfect day sailing destination, while Santa Cruz and the other islands provide endless cruising destinations that can last a lifetime of adventure and discovery.
